The conference theme:
Management Accounting Innovations in Asia-Pacific
We define this theme broadly but recognise that an ever-present challenge for management accountants is to identify and respond to the needs of their organisation. Thus, the practices and innovations ought to adapt to the unique features of the business setting. In an age of globalisation, automation, and digitalisation it can be easy to overlook the rich and storied nature of local cultures and business practices.
We invite presentations on topics such as (but not limited to):
What is unique about business and practice in the Asia-Pacific region?
How do characteristics peculiar to Asia-Pacific organisations challenge innovations for management accounting?
What are examples of local practices that fit an organisation well but, perhaps, defy international conventional wisdom?
